- Specialisation and expertise
I have broad experience of interdisciplinary work, from computing and mathematics in my PhD and post-doctoral work, to psychology, sociology, applied philosophy and communications studies in considering the social, legal and ethical impacts of computer and communications technology. I recently also starting collaborating with a film studies scholar on the impact of films and television on public perception of social issues such as security, surveillance and AI. I have published work relating to copyright, security, surveillance, privacy, responsible research and innovation, ubiquitous computing (aka Internet of Things), medical technology. I am interested in too many things.
